The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of adventurers who will separate from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them little choice but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
