Teenage Killer Given Life Imprisonment Sentence with Base 16-Year Duration
An fifteen-year-old boy has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 16-year period for the killing of another student the victim during a midday recess.

The defendant knifed the deceased, who was also fifteen, in the cardiac area with a weapon at the educational institution in February.
Mrs Justice Naomi Ellenbogen lifted the identity protection order on the perpetrator during sentencing at the courthouse.

The mother stated she was glad the lowest period had been set exceeding the statutory minimum of 15-year period.
"My parent has been receiving cancer therapy through the court proceedings and he just couldn't continue any further," she expressed.
Context of the Incident
Leading up to the homicide on February 3rd, the perpetrator and the victim had adopted opposite sides in a separate disagreement between two other students.
Surveillance video from the day of the incident showed the perpetrator moving toward the victim in the courtyard soon after noon.
Observers recounted a scene of "confusion", with those present "running, screaming throughout" during the aggressive encounter.
Legal Process
During the legal proceedings, the accused stated he had not intended to kill Harvey or cause him significant damage, stating he could not recollect what had happened.
Prosecutors maintained that he had "intended to demonstrate he was formidable" and "knew exactly what he was carrying out".
"You were the instigator and... you acted in distress and fury at what you considered to be his betrayal of your friendship," stated the court official during sentencing.
Aftermath
The educational institution published a statement stating that the student was "greatly remembered every daytime by the whole educational community".
Police officials highlighted the devastating consequences of possessing blades, noting that a "split-second choice" can irreversibly alter numerous lives.
