Skydance Paramount Will Cut Around 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are likely, with the company intending to disclose complete information via its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates suggested that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
