His final fought professionally back in 2012 having been scheduled to fight a fighter on 2 December in Dubai.
Fight promoters stated it was intended as a pro match, though there was unclear how it would be completely approved.
His relatives shared: "His luggage had been packed for departure abroad for promoting a return bout plus he organizing an event there, which his dear daughters Millie and Fearne were going to be honored at.
"He felt thrilled because they might witness him fight live in person.
"He was a devoted granddad and loved being together the little ones."
The relatives asked for a period of private and personal grieving and shared that details regarding a memorial service may be announced later on.
