Initial Individual Sent Back to France Under Recent Reciprocal Deal
The first migrant has now been returned to France as part of the exchange arrangement agreed between the UK and French administrations.
The individual departed this morning and his transport has already landed in France.
He originated from South Asia and left on a carrier service in the morning.
This follows after the brief blocking of the removal of an Eritrean man on exploitation reasons, which sparked worries that the immigration agreement could be disrupted by judicial interventions.
