Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
