Four Detentions Carried Out Following Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Pictures Displayed on Royal Castle

Several individuals have been detained following images of Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening, coinciding with the president’s arrival in the UK.

Police Response and Detentions

Thames Valley Police stated that the suspects were arrested on suspicion of "malicious communications" following what they described as a "unauthorized display." Those arrested comprised an individual in his sixties from Sussex, a 36-year-old and a 50-year-old from London, and a Kent man aged 37.

The force added that officers acted quickly to halt the projection on the castle, where the president is scheduled to meet the monarch during his state visit.

Context of the Event

The former president was associated with Epstein during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. To date, he has never been charged with any wrongdoing in connection with the deceased businessman.

The visit comes just a week after the British ambassador to the US was dismissed over his association with the convicted sex offender.

Early on Wednesday, a van was spotted in Windsor displaying an picture of Trump and Epstein along with the message: "Welcome to the UK, Donald."

Security Presence and Demonstration Plans

A significant police operation has been deployed throughout Windsor, with over 1,600 officers assigned to monitor events in central London amid planned protests by activist groups.

Meanwhile, Trump and his wife will take part in a meal with members of the royal household, pay respects the resting place of the late queen, and give a speech at a formal dinner.

Protesters gathered in Windsor prior to the arrival, emphasizing the divisive aspect of the state visit.
