According to latest statistics, the number of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same years, the count of female centenarians nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to hear from centenarians, their relatives or friends, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and developments.
